What is Sustainable Fabric?

Sustainable fabric is a fabric that is produced using a specific set of principles and methods to minimize its ecological impact. Starting from the production phase, throughout the life cycle of the fabric and eventually to the end of the fabric's life cycle, these principles aim to minimize the environmental, social and economic impact of sustainable fabrics.

Sustainable fabrics are usually made from materials that are recycled or derived from renewable resources. This can be both natural and synthetic fibers. Natural fibers can be derived from renewable resources such as organic cotton or wool, hemp, bamboo, and even cork and alginate. Recycled materials can be old clothing, plastic bottles, or even industrial waste.

The production of sustainable fabrics uses special techniques and technologies to minimize energy and water use and limit the use of harmful chemicals. These processes minimize the overall carbon footprint and other environmental impacts.

Additionally, the design and production of sustainable fabrics ensures that at the end of its life, the fabric is either recyclable or decomposes harmlessly in nature. This completes the fabric’s life cycle and further reduces its environmental impact.

Sustainable fabrics are materials that minimize environmental impacts, support communities and promote economic sustainability. They contribute to the goal of leaving a healthy and sustainable world for future generations.

Why should you choose it?

Our products made from post-consumer recycled plastic do not require any new raw materials, thus reducing energy consumption and therefore carbon footprint during the production process.
